Parbati Kisku, Asst.Professor
Teacher-in-charge, Raipur Block Mahavidyalaya
It is my pleasure to welcome you to our college website. We thank you for taking time to visit. This website is the window to show our own activity to the world. We are in the centre of JANGAL MAHAL (The forest corridor of West Bengal) of Bankura district. We have such speciality of our own that you can never be able to experience anywhere. The depth of green and redness of earth are covering us. We mean major number of tribal pupil from families of little income but huge heart to love. We mean the locality that smells heritage of ancient India. We mean the wealth and warmth of relations between teacher and students what you can expect only in a large family.
Each student who arrives in this college comes with their own individual problems and challenges. Our task during time in Raipur Block Mahavidyalaya is to help them to fight with their problems and challenges by good intensions and valiant effort of significant teachers. Most of our students are first generation learner and economically out of health. Their tenacity towards higher education and unmatched fight with their economic circumstances are making them able to stand up on their own feet year after year.
We built our students self-confidence so that they could be unafraid to face the toughness of life. We are imparting higher education to backward boys and girls here, which is, we think, a very substantial, potent and conscientious task. We are creating great human resource and the role of this booming human resource in the society is essential for development of a nation. I feel proud to acknowledge the contribution of highly qualified, dynamic and multi-talented faculty, non-teaching staff and my students for this. We have to continue to move ahead for producing and maintaining the best. We run cultural propaganda between our students, which endeavour to enrich the academic and extra-curricular standards of them. Our teachers work hard throughout the year with the students to provide them high quality educational experience in the form of debates, group discussions, workshops, symposia, seminars and cultural competitions. Eminent personalities are invited from all sects of life to address our students and expose them to new ideas and thoughts. We do not believe in the education system, which inspires a bookworm. We practice education beneath the warmth of nature. Thakur Sri Ramakrishna said, “Many good sayings are to be found in holy books, but merely reading them will not make one religious.” Our aim is to make ourselves educationally religious.
My best wishes to my beloved students. Wish them all success in life. Thank you.
